I think it's been a good two years since I have actively given attention to any one thing in my life. Upon entering University, I've found myself running from one thing to another. Just as Jack Kerouac said, "I like too many things and get all confused and hung-up running from one falling star to another till I drop." And I've found room to finally calm down. Focus maybe. Try to at least give some kind of thought to life and what it may be. I'm not going to get any younger and as college graduation inches a year closer, I know that my time may run short. There's always the theory the there's always time, but I choose not to test that fate. And I realized that with ignoring people I once cared for or forget those whom I cherished our simple exchanges, I kind of lost a piece of who I used to be. A piece that I shouldn't have lost. It took reconnected with an old friend a year ago to begin understanding this. And really, they have made my life so much happier than it has been in awhile. It inspired me to foul out my Business studies and pick up my dreamed Art History and Communications. Fuck doing what you should do and do what you want to. If I end up stuck on Albany Ave. I can live with it. I can live with it because I am not my home, I am not my job, I am only what I love and who loves me. That defines me. And it's time to reconcile and fix what I have neglected. So sorry. And please, take me back.
